The cardigan enjoyed its outing and display on stage at the Narberth Wool Festival in October, and was much admired by visitors and stallholders. Back in the cupboard now until the next woolly event can be found! Confirmed booking for Wonderwool Wales at Builth Wells next spring to look forward to.
Looks like the magnificent Cardigan will be finding itself on display around the country until a permanent place can be found for it in its home town of Cardigan. Sadly the cardigan is currently in storage, due to no free space in town. We hope it may find a place at the River and Food Festival, otherwise if you have any ideas or would like to hire the cardigan for an event please get in touch.
The cardigan has come back from it’s frozen holiday and is now on display over Easter at the Shire hall in Cardigan.
Lisa Hellier will be in the Shire Hall on Saturday 19th April to launch a new “Seaquilt” quilting project, if you fancy joining in you can take away a 30cm square to stitch..
The Cardigan is currently being frozen at IBERS at Aberystwyth University to prevent any moth damage.
Once it comes out, we are hoping it will be on display at Aberystwyth Arts Centre.
BBC Wales programme HENO will be making a short item about the cardigan when it comes out.
